Life (sorry for the novel)

So life has been crazy busy at our house the past few weeks. Between working full time, 2 kids playing soccer, and homework, we have no time for anything else.
We've had to adjust our kids bedtimes, they get to stay up a little later now, otherwise we would never get homework done or have any time together at all. The bad thing is, they have to get up even earlier now so they are very tired boys.
Thankfully, they love their babysitter (literally-I asked Ry if he liked Jessica and his response was "I love Jessica") What a relief to have such a great person caring for my kids.
I am really enjoying my new job. It is a great company to work for. I had only worked there one week and they threw me a birthday party and even bought me a present. We are going to my company party today, my kids can't wait. Now, Dee on the other hand, he is trying to come up with any excuse to get out of going :)
Guess what! As an answer to my prayers my pictures were saved on my camera. I was so happy! I just haven't had any time to post them. I will try.
So I must warn anybody who may come to my house. It's not the same as it used to be. It's not clean, the yard is not weeded, we don't eat good home cooked meals made from scratch anymore (except on Wednesdays when my angel of a mom comes up and cleans my house, does my laundry and makes our dinner-she's the best), but we are cherishing the times we have together as a family, we are trying to do a lot more playing together.
Life is different at our house, but life is good.

Life changes

It has been a really crazy, hectic, busy, stressful, weight gaining couple of weeks! We have had a lot of stresses in our lives lately, but we are working through them. I am so grateful for my parents and Dee's parents and the love and support that they always give to us. We have been blessed so much through the past few weeks, it has been such a learning experience for me to see the Lord's hand in all we have been going through.
After working at my job for seven years, I have recently made a change. I have decided to go back to work full time. I was so blessed to be able to find an amazing job, and the best part is...it's in Payson! Yay, no more commute to Provo (at least for me!) I just started my job last Wednesday, and so far so good. It's been a little hard for me because like I said I had been at my previous job for seven years! I was definitely in my comfort zone. So my new job is completely foreign to me. But I am really excited to be learning something new again. I was at a plateau at my other job, and I was not learning and growing as I should be. I actually have an official title at my new job, I am the Staff Accountant (it's a little bit easier to explain than, I'm-the-pretty-much-do-everything-person).
One of my big stresses with this new job was, what about a babysitter? What do I do with Hayden before and after school? Will Rylan have a hard time adjusting? Once again, a major blessing...I was able to find a babysitter in Santaquin, and her kids ride Hayden's bus, so he can just ride to and from her house instead with her kids (who he already knows from school). Plus Rylan is very happy to have Hayden come with him in the morning. I felt so comfortable with the new sitter, usually Rylan takes quite a while to warm up and he took to her instantly (that was such a relief, I knew if he cried then I'd never make it through my day!)
I am still adjusting to this whole not being home thing. My house probably won't be as clean anymore, we probably won't have as good of dinners, and I probably will slack a bit in the blogging department, but as long as I at least blog more often than Emilie, I will be okay :) (Emilie is on the crappy blogger list-sorry Em)
This is going to be a very different life than we are use to, but I am hopeful that we can make the best of it. Wish us luck as we embark on this new adventure!

A word to the wise...

Or not so wise, in my case! Hopefully everyone else is smarter than me and does not push the delete all button on your camera, and instead just deletes the one picture that you meant to!
We had a great, relaxing Labor Day Weekend in Oak City, I took lots of fabulous photos and videos on my camera. At the end of the weekend I deleted everything...needless to say, I was devestated!
I came home and searched the internet for any chance of recovery. There were lots of websites out there that said they could. But they were all the type that said "download our software (which scares me anyways), then pay us a gazillion dollars, and we will restore your pictures".
Instead of going that route, I called Allen's in Provo and they said that "sure they could fix my camera for me"...as long as I hadn't taken any more pictures after I had deleted them. For once, luck was on my side. I was at least smart enough to not take any more pictures! So I took my memory card in, and they are in the process of restoring my pictures and videos! Yay!
So hopefully come next week, I can post some super cute pictures from our weekend.
