I love doing all of my little traditions for each holiday, but for some reason I'm kind of an Easter scrooge. I don't know why, but I just have a hard time getting into the spirit. (How awful am I?!) However, this year I did let my kids color eggs-it's the first time I have ever done that, usually they get to do it at at least one grandma's house-if not both.
The Easter bunny came to our house on Saturday-which he always does. Then we had an Easter egg hunt and dinner at Nana's. On Sunday my family came to our house for dinner and yet another Easter egg hunt.
My family has an "Easter egg roll-off" with a "traveling trophy". Tape 2 pieces of cardboard together, have a person on each side, they both roll an Easter egg at the same time, when they hit whichever egg is cracked loses. Keep rolling against each other until there is only one egg left uncracked. The kids love it! Plus the trophy is pretty sweet. We were glad that Jordyn won this year and that she got to take it home with her for the year!
Sure, Easter dresses are fun, but don't they look handsome!
