Down on the Farm

This past weekend we went to Oak City. My dad was working on the calves, so the kids were sent up to "help" him. They watched him brand, tag, give shots and got some anatomy lessons when it came time for castrating. They had a good time, but spent most of the time on the fence.
They each wrote on one tag, and then they got to tag "their very own" calf using the tag that they made.
I thought Ry's was cute-look how his F is backwards :)I think Brook should quit his job and become a farmer, he was pretty good at it!

Thanks Dad for letting us come and "help"!

I have good memories of farming with your dad. I remember going to change sprinklers with you and getting eaten alive by mesquitoes!

So you grew up on a farm? I learned a few things from the picts too. That would be so much fun for kids! (minus the anatomy lesson and surgery, but who knows) Looks like good ol' summer days with the kids on the fence!! Cute!
