St. George with the Nuttalls

We spent the weekend in St. George with the Nuttalls. We had such a great time. The weather was beautiful!
We spent Hayden's 9th birthday there.

Claire is always posing,

and it looks like she has taught Lucy a thing or two :)

I don't know what is with Hayden's face for pictures lately

We went to a park and played games. The kids had a great time playing in the sand. We just stuck Ry in the pool when we got back to wash out his cast :)

Hayden's cool cake

Does anyone remember boondoggle? I hadn't seen it since Napoleon Dynamite. But it was reintroduced to everyone this weekend. The kids LOVED it!

Zach, Hayden & Kylie even did it while they were in the pool!

Will did not like me taking his picture. Here he was yelling at me to "stop it".
Ry lost his first tooth - and we never did find it. I'm sure it was at the bottom of the pool. Now he has to smile dorky, so you can see that he is missing a tooth :)
Claire, the ball organizer and Braden having fun
Kylie trying to catch a shrimp at Samurai 21I thought everyone should have to bowl one-handed like Rylan, to make it fair
Good times!

Same boy, same spot, different year.

It's that time again, Back to School! Hayden is in 4th grade this year. I remember when I was in 4th grade, I thought I was so old - now that Hayden is in 4th grade it seems a whole lot younger! He was very excited to go back to school this year (but if you asked him he would tell you no - it sounds cooler that way). He was so happy to get to see his friends. I hope he likes his teacher, she is is really cute, really young and really fun. I hope he has a great year.

Hayden's Birthday #1

For Hayden's birthday we took him and a couple friends swimming. We went to the park first and had pizza - and that is where Rylan broke his arm :(

Ry and Jordyn - yes that is him swimming with his broken armRyder, Bridger, Hayden & EthanI love where I work. I work with some really talented people and we have some pretty cool equipment that we can utilize also! Hayden is a HUGE Jazz fan, so I got together with some people in our art department - and used our way cool printer that prints on edible paper using food coloring as ink - and we came up with these very SWEET cookies; we put the cookies in the bags we make here and made these headers for the bags. Hayden LOVED them. His friends all thought they were so awesome! I love when my kids think I'm an awesome mom :)

Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones

BEFORE

AFTER

Poor Ry...We were at the park and he was so excited to show me that he finally learned to do the monkey bars!

I turned my head for one second and he fell off and landed on his arm. We've never had a broken bone at our house, so I wasn't sure what to think. I just remember Jono's broken arm that was bending in places that it shouldn't bend, so that's what I was looking for.

We made him go swimming after and he still complained about it hurting. I took him to the babysitter the next morning and told her what happened, and to let me know if it was hurting him. I got a text later saying that he was really hurting. So we went to the doctor, and sure enough it was broken.

Ry told me that he didn't think it was broken, because he thought a broken arm would hurt much worse than it did! :) He thinks he is pretty cool with his cast on, he even went to pack meeting at the park about an hour after he got it on. He asked if he could do the monkey bars! Silly boy!

Brain Head

No that is not a typo, our family just happens to call Brian Head - Brain Head. :)

We were able to spend last weekend with my family and cousins in Brian Head. It was beautiful and relaxing. We had nearly 40 people in one cabin, and it was a complete blast!

We never seem to go hungry, especially this trip. We had 3 kitchens...one for each meal! I was worried that the kids were going to come home as diabetics with all the candy they ate!
There was lots of fishing [Kelly caught a very nice fish using a princess pole :)], riding, eating, ping-pong, pool and games. We got to see some amazing thunderstorms and wake up to some really loud thunder.

We made lots of memories and learned a lot about each other :)
Our Motto for the trip was
"What stays in Brian Head, happens in Brian Head" ~Author, Kelly Carter~

It's always hard to wake up after a late night!

Brandon had some really nice hair after a fun Xanax fueled night!

Kelci was not too happy about having her picture taken!

I'm a little worried that these kids will end up with tattoos in the future...

Thanks to everybody, we had an amazing time. We love you all and can't wait until next time :)
