Flashback Friday (kind of)...Happy Birthday Ry

This is how it all started...
This is how it all turned out :)... Could he be any cuter?!

I cannot believe it has been four years since my baby was born. We went through a lot of struggles when he was born, and as it turns out he is the healthiest of both my boys.
I am sitting here crying as I type this, because I am so grateful for this boy and for what he brings to my life. He was such an angel as a baby, and now he is just such a special person. He brings such a sweet spirit into our home. He brings so much joy and laughter (he is a crack-up, without even trying to be).
It is just so hard for me to believe that he is not a baby anymore, that he is actually a big kid, but with that said, he will always be the baby of our family. We love him so much.

Some interesting facts about Ry:
He did not cry once when he was born. (He has always been so mellow)
He was on oxygen for about the first two months of his life.
As a baby, at night he would fuss until we would lay him down in his crib, all he wanted to do was go to bed. He couldn't go to church, because he wouldn't fall asleep there, he had to be at home in his bed.
His heart is completely opposite of everybody else. Instead of the blood going in the left side and out the right side (or whatever way it does). His goes in the right and out the left.
He sucked his thumb for 3 1/2 years, and just quit cold turkey.
He is a clean freak, and cannot stand to have his hands dirty.
He has about a GAZILLION stuffed animals, and each and everyone of them have names. And you have to remember all their names, plus you have to remember if they are a boy or a girl!
And...I love him with all my heart.

Happy Birthday Ry!

Happy Birthday, Rylan! What a sweet boy--I can't believe he's already 4! I always think about him and how much he loved Jimmy! I want to read the article about your freeway birth story--that is on the list of my biggest fears, since I've come very close before!

What a story he has to tell! I still can't believe you had him in the car! He's so cute!! Your mom came over the other day, I told her she has to come back and bring you with her!

I was thinking the same as Shauni- I want to read your newspaper article!
Your kids are absolutely darling and they both have their birthdays in the summer- that's perfect for parties!
And about the husband/babysitter, I am gone for two nights when the kids get put to bed and now my baby varies in bedtime between 8-10. I love the 8:00 much better but when it's 10:00, is it just coincidence or awesome babysitting skills? Ahh!

I remember seeing that headline in the paper one morning and wanting to read it because I had barely made it to the hospital with Adam so I felt really bad for this poor woman. Then I found out it was you!!! I couldn't believe it. My mom was actually born on the road too!
