Stitches

Hayden finally had his stitches removed yesterday morning. Dr. Eyre said that his mole had a little bit of atypia (the bad stuff) in it, but they removed it all and there is nothing to worry about--that was a relief. Hayden was just as good getting them out as he was when he had them put in. Mal said the doctor and nurses kept telling her that he was the best kid ever and they couldn't believe how well he handled the whole process. The stitches never slowed Hayden down one bit, he played just as hard as ever. When they took the stitches out, they put steristrips on and Dr. Eyre said they should hopefully stay on two weeks. I just laughed, I don't think he realizes everything a five year old does or how often we go swimming, so I will be happy if they last one week. Well I have been so proud of Hayden he has been such a good tough kid through out the last 10 days, now if only he would be as tough when he gets his fingernails cut--that would be awesome!
