Soak up the sun

Please don't make fun of my poetry skills, we all know that Florence is the writer of the family. But I thought I would give it a shot. (I apologize for the lengthiness of this, but come on, we were there a week I couldn't get it any shorter) So here goes.....

This year the Nuttall Family Vacation was called "St. George 2007".
We had great things planned, it should have been heaven.
We were excited to play games, swim and work on our tan.
But let's just say things didn't go according to plan.

The ride down began on Sunday afternoon;
With a party in one car, and dinner at KanKun.

Then came Monday, which really was rough.
With a near drowning, a power outage and other bad stuff.
We were so grateful to a little place called Gandolfo's Deli.
They were the only ones we could find to feed our bellies.

Tuesday morning the guys went golfing at the crack of dawn.
They hit some balls, talked some trash, and had time to bond.
Kylie got to go with the girls when they went to Island Broiler to eat.
Next it was pedicures for matching polish on their feet.
Zach said he didn't feel well later that day.
We were headed to Cafe Rio, and he barfed on the way!
The rest of us continued on to the restaurant to eat.
After, we went to Nielson's for a frozen custard treat.

Wednesday was family pictures - oh how fun!
Florrie woke up sick, and Zach was still puking a ton!
When pictures were through, we needed some food.
Jimi chose McDonalds; which was fine until someone pooed!
Wednesday was a great day for those who weren't ill.
We played in the pool all day, it was very chill.

We ate dinner at the Pizza Factory, where Florrie threw up in the can.
That was also the night that Bocce Ball began.

Thursday night was our trip to Mesquite.
We ate at Carollo's, their ribs can't be beat!

Claire and Braden cried the whole way there,
While Zach & Flo stayed home laying on the chair.

Alas came Friday and the championship Bocce game.
Where Dee & Jimi entered the Bocce "Hall of Fame".

We went to the theater and saw Ratatouille.
Everyone fell asleep, except for Lewie.
Then Marv's delicious burgers and fries were had by all.
Followed by Frisbee Golf, don't go over the wall!

Saturday was miniature golf at Fiesta Fun.
We played a fast game to get out of the sun.

Remember Rylan's arcade tickets galore.
I think they were piled from ceiling to floor!
Then it was time for the kids "Water Olympics".
Where they had fun and got prizes for kicks.

(I couldn't resist this one, look at that cute little butt cheek!)

That night for dinner we had Olive Garden food;
And played "25 Words or Less" to lighten the mood.

Today was Sunday and we found ourselves on the road.
Now we are home and it's time to unload.

Oh the memories of Braden and Savvy pooping on the floor;
and Zach with his tupperware bowl-need I say more?
This year Connie added the word "shart" to her vocabulary;
and Todd was the best with his sports commentary.
Dee earned some money all in good fun.
We hope Emilie wasn't too embarrassed seeing his bare bum!
We all know of Dave's love affair with Harry Potter;
But Aubree thinks that David Beckham is hotter!
Hayden earned the new nickname"FishMan"
And now Rylan will go off the diving board as fast as he can.
Kylie is so pretty, and she's growing up fast.
Jimi just hopes that her tan will last!
Baby Claire survived the week unharmed,
But with all those kids, her mom was always alarmed!
Lewis & Florrie are one heck of a team.
To survive the week, they must have drank Jim Beam!
This trip wouldn't have been possible without dear old Dad.
He organized the activities, the food and all the fun we had.
We were so excited for this trip, and we're sad to see it end.
It's great that we are not only family, but also friends.

We had a great time and love you all so dear.
Thanks again, and we can't wait to see where we go next year!

You better not let MA see this... if so, you will be writing the Christmas poem!
