4th of July

So I apologize in advance for the very many pictures that I am posting this time, but I just couldn't help myself. I absolutely love the 4th of July! We went to Delta this year for the 4th. We of course went to the parade in the morning (where the temperature reached 108!!!) We were very excited that a lot of people threw otter pops this year, except by the middle of the parade the ones we were getting were already melted.

The kids always love when the airplanes fly over at the beginning of the parade.

After the parade we went to my mom's house for a BBQ, games and of course swimming in the pool--what else can you do when it's that hot!

It was just too much fun for Chad, he had to have a nap before the derby. I guess it worked because he won 1st place in the mini car race--Congrats!!!

We finished the day off with yet another BBQ, then we put Ry to bed at 7:30, let Hayden do sparklers and then put him to bed at 8:30. We didn't even do fireworks this year, but that's okay, because my kids slept good and were happy the next day---and that is what is important to me.
